Iceberg ahead Captain

They say that rats are the first to jump ship when it starts to sink.
Now you can take from that what you want, but me, it means its time to save my own skin, and I shall try just that.

Things at work are shall we say slow. so slow that over the weekend we managed to make $10 NZ over 8 hours, now things have been slow for a while now, were in a recession an all. But things are getting especially tight here, cost of products are going up, the boss is spending more than he can afford on product that doesn't sell and will more than likely never sell, customer counts are way down etc etc. now this may not be cause for alarm, but when they're looking at knocking down my hours by say half instead of addressing the real issue (over spending), well that gives me cause for alarm.

So now I'm wondering If I'll even have a job come the end of the month, which would be interesting given that I've planned to take 2 weeks off come the end of march.
So like any good rat, I'm planning my escape from this sinking ship.
Sink or swim, i gotta try, I'm guessing rats can swim?, lets hope this rat can.

Not really a humorous story like I'm used to posting I know, but maybe this will get a chuckle.

I checked my horoscope on Friday, it said that I'm having financial issues, that not to worry in a few weeks/months that will all disappear and I will be significantly happier.
Now lets get this out of the way. I don't generally buy into horoscopes, but this is one of those instances that could be true, I mean, lets face it, If I aint got no job and no money, then what financial issues could I have right ?
