Im sorry were not a library

So a few mins ago I had a customer come in, she spent several minutes browsing what we have on the shelves, I left her to her browsing and later she came up with a book, a sealed book I might add, and asked to look at it.

Her: "Can I have a look at this book"
Me: "Excuse me ?"
Her: "I Want to buy it, but I want to make sure it has the right artwork"
Me: "Umm i'm sorry but no you cant, we have them sealed to keep them in mint condition, for those who want to buy them"
Her: "But I want to buy it!!, but i want to look at it first"
Me: "I cant let you do that i'm sorry, if you know its the book you want then you can buy it, otherwise I cant let you open it, were not a library"

she then proceed to slam the book on the table...

Her: "Well you've just lost yourself a sale, I hope your happy"

Honestly, I was happy :) If your unwilling to see anybody Else's point of view then you can just fuck off, sale or not.

The things I do...

So here I am at work, working, and of course Ive just had another stupid customer.
this customer, as hard as she was trying to not be dumb just couldnt help herself from failing....
So she wanted me to scan her passport, which I did, no problems, i scanned it, composed it into a PDF file and sent it to the machine she was on, now this is where things go down hill.
I get down to her with her passport and inform her the scanning is in my documents, no prob, she then turns to me and this happens

Me: "All righty, ya scans are in my documents and heres ya passport"
Her: "Oh where is it"
me: "My documents......"
Her: "OK so how can you attach it"
Me: "Do you not know how to attach files to emails ?"
Her: "oh yes I know...."
Me: "well then just the normal way, do a new email, attach the file and thats pretty much it"
Her: "OK, so how do YOU attach it"
Me: "excuse me ? you want me to attach it ?"
Her: "Oh yes.."
Me: "ummmm no, I'm not doing that for you"
Her: "Then how am i meant to attach it?"
Me: "???????? you said you know how to attach files to new emails"
Her: "I do"
Me: "Then uhhhh just do that, it'll be fine, send it to yourself and it will be in your email"
Her: "Oh how do you do that?"

At this stage, I gave up and just walked away, muttering that she needed to do a new email and just attach the files, I wasn't about to waste anymore of my time on someone with that limited a brain capacity.

certainly is the silly season

so as you know it's almost Christmas, or the silly season as you might call it if your in retail, i thought id share just one of the many instances of stupidity I've encountered this week, this happened not 5 mins ago...

so a couple of Indians come in (a father and daughter)
the daughter asks for a computer...

them: "Hi, can I have a computer please ?"
me: "sure thing, ill put you on number 4"
them: "????? what ones that ?????"
me: "uhhh the one with the BIG 4 above it "
them: ???????
me: "the one that's released, the one right behind you!!!"
them: ??????? (looks around) "ohhhh that one, I never saw that"
me: ?!?!??!?!? (face palms)

when people like that come in, I really wonder, is there any hope for the human race ?

I've got mail

so the other day (last firday), i bought a shelong gundam ver. ka conversion kit from www.tatsuhobby.com (fucken link thing wouldnt work) and yesterday it turned up on my door, I only really mention it as i'm extremely happy about getting the kit and at the service tatsuhobby provided, i mean i live in New Zealand and generally whenever you order anything online from overseas, your looking at like 2 weeks for the thing to arrive, this took 4 days to get to my house, now initially I was abit iffy about it actually even making it here as it was sent via UPS, and from what ive read on other blogs and hobby sites there arent to many people out there with very nice things to say about UPS, im glad to say though, I am not one of those people, i intend on writing to tatsu and saying just how happy I am with the kit and the service they provided me, and I assure anyone that reads this, I will be ordering from them in the very near future.

I might even post pics of my progress on the converting of my gunpla kit.

I really do take for ever to say nothing

the lengths people go to.....

i was gonna do a whole little story about dangerous times, keeping personal info safe blah blah blah, but i couldnt word it right and also couldnt be arsed, so i figure ill let the video tell the story,

so this is the first post of my "blog" who wouldve thought id make one huh, anyways here youll find stories of my everyday life at work and the stupidity of people who use our services, i might even post interesting stuff on things i actually like such as games and gundam and what not.

anyway i cant be bothered with a story for my first blog so fuck it im out
